The attitude of most ‘outsiders’ towards the USA is based either on fear of the foreign policies of your country and where it will lead next, given the huge impact you have on the rest of the world, and envy that your country is so wealthy and powerful. Such power and wealth brings responsibilities that seem, sadly, to be ignored by the current administration.
Europe is currently debating why the Nobel prize for literature has never gone to an American and I wonder about that too, given the huge volume of good writing that comes from your shores.. .

It is about sight isn’t, or perhaps insight. Let’s hope and pray for those who have been blind the last eight years, or really the last 28 or so, will see.

I’m not so eloquent in my comment, but I say me too! It can be either prophetic or synchronous; I just hope it comes to pass!

There are those who look to prophecy and others who would call it synchronicity. Whatever it was – it is to be pondered and appreciated. Add to the mix a portion of a letter Thomas Jefferson wrote back in 1798. It’s appropriate as we approach Halloween and Election Day just several days later. Jefferson said, “A little patience, and we shall see the reign of witches pass over, their spells dissolve, and the people, recovering their true sight, restore their government to it’s true principles.”
I’ve been patient and have done everything I could to make it happen for eight years — hope 2008 is the one.
