Can't you see the turkeytails sticking up on this rotten log?

With the morning sun shining THROUGH these thin bracket fungi, they do look every bit like a turkey tail, especially after having just been show a good two dozen of the real thing in a local physician’s office.

The purported medical benefits do not warrant putting these common mushrooms in your mouth. In light of recent poisonings, an excess of caution is probably a good idea.
