The Iceman Cometh

The Iceman Cometh

If this pattern continues, I anticipate the coming of spring to be an unparalleled relief. It’s as much the unpredictability as the risk, the inconvenience as the disappointment at cancellations, reschedulings and taking the long way to town.

Even so, with the power outage at 1 a.m. this morning, we were told to expect it back on at 4 this afternoon. So that it has returned by 7 is the gift of a day.

We at least discovered what we need and don’t have when this happens again–maybe as soon as tonight, when winds will reach 60 mph on the ridges. At least by then the ice will be gone.

-14F here (Fort Collins CO) this AM! I’m going out for a walk, hoping I’ll find City Park Lake groomed and open for ice skating tonight!

Gorgeous picture! I could see a line of Fragments Christmas cards, one of which would have this photo.
