Couple of Things
First, you can watch a book (Slow Road Home, as a matter of fact!) in the process of finding its way into someone's bookshelf! Colleen captured the unfolding in action at Cafe del Sol a few days back!
And feedback please: I've uploaded two mp3 files that together constitute the Studio Virginia interview that aired on Thursday, June 15, on WVTF. Do please let me know if you have any problems accessing these, and I'll find another way to make them available. And as you listen, your task is to give me feedback on this one thing: Do I sound WAY TOO SOUTHERN?
Okay. I'm out to the garden to trim tomato suckers. See you all (every last one of you--no excuses!)--at Notebooks in Floyd, 4:00 sharp.
Comments
Fred,
I enjoyed the interview. Not too southern at all,and this is coming from Massachusetts!
Big day tomorrow. My son has purchased Slow Rode Home for me for Father's Day (saw it in the mail). I am looking forward to reading it.

I'd say just Southern enough. :)
Great interview!

Hi Fred First, that woman buying your book is/was me! The wedding I was in town for was mine! My brand-new husband and I love that part of the world and chose your book as a souvenir of our wedding weekend in the Blue Ridge Mountains. You live in a beautiful place, and we look forward to returning as soon as life permits. Thank you for your work, and thanks to Floyd for the always warm welcome... Catherine

I could not down load the files might be because I dont use mp3?
Liked your reading at NoatBooks (nice little coffee shop the owner has a great life storie) and from your talk there you do not sound "too Southern" to me.
Bought one of your books for a friend of mine who has lived in Wills for over 20 years. she says she likes it very much.
