It was not my finest hour. I stayed a half-step behind my breath, if you know what I mean. Don't know why, after more than a dozen of these sessions. I was uncommonly ill at ease. It was a new person--the station manager--who set up the recording, and I just assumed he was a very busy person upon whom this chore was dumped by the regular staff person. So when I'd finished reading, what I really wanted to say was "let's do it over", but deferring to his busy schedule, I said nothing so he could get back to his morning duties. And doggone, then we sat in the studio and chatted pleasantly for a half hour.
Anywho, you've already read this little story in Fragments a few months back. Listen at your own risk.

I listened, and liked it very much. I'm usually such a grouchy luddite, wishing I could go back and do without so many trappings of the way we live today. But isn't it wonderful that I can listen in London to you on regional radio in Virginia?

I heard you today on the radio. Was quite taken, enough to search your blog out (b/c I wasn't fast enough to "hear" it when it was given, just pieces). So while you may have been unsatisfied with it, it was good enough to hook me! I'm just down the mountain from you!
