Forest Dawning

Photographs often help me center on what's trustworthy, true and good in this odd life. The pure light of a new day, my presence by chance at just such a place and time makes me look for the good things, the beauty in a fallen world.

I have a very busy day ahead, but I'll carry this moment of quiet peace with me. Maybe you can, too. (Click image for enlargement.)

Wow!!!

The enlargement is stunning.

Many thanks for the soul satisfying image. I've been sitting here moping at being housebound all day after having a severe asthma attack last night. Spring is so short here in the northern Appalachians that I begrudge missing even the cloudy to partly rainy days like today.

Your part of the mountains looks just beautiful Be careful you don't let word of just how magical the your valley is spread too far. Our town was 'discovered' a while back and it's never been the same since. Thanks a heap, NYTimes.

What a beautiful picture. I'll be carrying the image and the peace it captures into my dreams. :o)

Mm-mm-mm! Damn, man.
