You People Are The Best!

Thank you all for your involvement in this little photo contest decision. Your participation makes this way more fun than just guessing what might have a wider appeal than my own taste.

I would still value more opinions, so keep'em coming. A pattern is beginning to appear in what appeals to Fragments readers. You are both reinforcing some of my top picks and giving me a new perspective through other eyes. And since there appears to be no stated theme as such for the contest, I think general eye appeal is as good a criterion as any.

Toward the end of the week, I'll narrow it down to the top three picks, and post all three in a montage. Then, I guess I'll have to do the eenie meenie miny moe thing and chose just one.

And yes, Jim, we really must have a Fragments Pig Roast if our collective decision wins! Ann and I will supply the pasture and sky. Somebody got a pig volunteer?

Boy, you really asked a hard task of your readers. These photos were absolutely stunning and just viewing them was pure stress relief.
Since I'm from Florida, I thought "Perfect Blue Ridge Afternoon" reminded me the most of my travels throughout the Blue Ridge region.
My other 3 favorites were
At the Mailbox,
Front Porch
and RoaNat Foods.
I'm hoping you win this contest so that we can see more of your photos with the new lens.
and by the way, Tsuga is in a class by himself. absolutely loved his photos!

I'm just glad that I don't have to be a real judge in this photo contest. Of the non-Fred photos, I like #6 and #108 more than the others--although they are all wonderful shots. Of the Fred photos, I like Ann's Falls and the shot of Abby walking the plank (I don't know the name of the photo, but you know which one it is anyway!) If someone were to plant a link that led people to your site, telling them that they were being taken to the site of the contest photos, who would be able to say that they had landed at the wrong site? Not I. Your photos are so powerful! I like Ann's Falls because it evokes the woodsy country that we associate with Virginia. I like Abby because it shows that Virginia is for people--an adventurous place for the little ones.
