TeleTubbies On LSD

I heard the TeleTubbies "creator" (using the term loosely) on NPR the other day describing with obvious pride her new mind-abortion called BooBah. Now fortunately I got my child-rearing years over soon enough that I was only grazed a glancing blow by Barney and SPongeBob and TeleTubbies. But this one, folks, will indeed require the wearing of little preschool foil hats. It is too "out there" for words, except the Greeblie One has done a pretty good job capturing the, er, unfortunate resemblence of BooBahs to, well, yes, male boobahs... with a pointer to the BooBah Zone so you can see for yourself.

If this doesn't make parents of small children throw a brick through their TV screens, there is no hope for us as a species! They're coming to take us away, hahahohoheehee....

I unfortunately suffered through the Barney years. However, Barney was positively delightful compared to this.

I've been successful (Thank goodness) in keeping both Barney and the Teletubbies out of my house--hopefully I will with this new thing, too. The little one (now 22 months) has a bigger temper than her brother (now 5), though. They seem weirder than the TT, but perhaps not as Orwellian.

Hey, I thought the BooBah Zone was fun! Good visual games for the young set. Patterns, movement.

I have no idea what the TV show is like, but the Flash stuff was not bad, IMHO.

If your country hadn't inflicted Barney on us, my country would never have retaliated with the Teletubbies...

While the website is cute (and the best use of flash i've ever seen) you gotta see them on TV to fully appreciate their testicular splendor... And thank for the Link Love, Fred!

I'll credit my being old enough to have escaped the invasions, but I wouldn't know "Barney and SPongeBob and TeleTubbies" if I tripped over them. I'll count my blessings.

tripping over Barney and SPongeBob and TeleTubbies ranked right up there with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, who were, by comparison, beacons of humanity

BoohBahs are great for those times when you absolutely, positively, MUST cease brain function

otherwise, my vote goes to the RUBBISH pile

Reminds me of the minor rant I had about Oswald.

I think it's awesome! Our daughter loves it. Here's to a little more "right brain" stimulation in the world.
