Flowering Now! In a Forest Near You!
We took a 'nature walk' up the valley this evening, ambling along slowly in a bright fog in the drippy wet woods just before dusk. It's the peak of the wildflowers now, it seems. We came back with this list of 'sightings'. What grows where you live?

- Wild Ginger
- Blue Cohosh
- Black Cohosh
- Perfoliate Bellwort
- Columbine
- Giant Chickweed
- Solomon's Seal
- False Solomon's Seal

- Coltsfoot
- Trout Lily
- Speckled Bead Lily
- Jack-in-the-Pulpit

Comments
We have wild violets and an orange thing that is related to sunflowers (I used to know the name). Unfortunately, I'm not up on flower names - but I can tell you what kind of hot pepper it is that you are about to ingest.

Don't forget it's time to pick the morels! My girlfriend's mom picked a five gallon bucket full on their farm in Huddleston this week. Morels is some good eating if you like mushrooms!

I need to post a pic of the weeds in my backyard. I KNOW you'd be able to identify it. Looks rather like a geranium.
