March Bloom
This is Coltsfoot, a non-native wildflower that has been 'naturalized' all over the place. I'll have lots to say about it later, when I have lots to say about things in general again.
Happened to see this single flower (actual size about 1" across) nicely illuminated against the shadow of a rock wall just out the back door. I picked it just for you.

Nice picture, makes it especially hard to wait for spring to finally make it here. Actually the temps are spring-like, but we still have a lot of snow cover so no grass or flowers yet.

Dang! He's showing us pictures now... and I've still got feet of snow piled up outside my windows. Sulk!
Seriously though, lovely colour, bright and cheery. Ta!

Thank you for the flower. We all need a flower today. Every day. At least once a week? Please Mr. Photographer, with a cherry on top.

Wonderful...sunshine in pixels!
I passed a grassy noll carpeted in California Poppies the other day...but didn't have my camera with me...I'll return and get a shot or two to share.
The Spring wildflower show has begun in the Bay Area ...Lupin is beginning to unwind it's tendrils...soon the yellow Broom and orange Poppy will give way to frosty white Queen Anne's Lace, blue Lupin and pink Owl's Clover.
