“I am presenting a masterpiece group of 24 songs by Franz Schubert this Sunday at 2pm at the June Bug Center. Written for voice and piano, the poems, written by Wilhelm Müller are on the subject of lost love. It’s titled Die Winterreise (The Winter Journey) and is sung from the point of view of the jilted lover. It ranges in emotion and since it’s high romantic German poetry there are a lot of nature references, which all you Floydian peoples will be able to relate to! Did I mention that these songs are beautiful and dramatic? That too.

Admission is on a sliding scale as to not turn away anyone that wants to be there. There will be English translation supertitles projected. I’m attaching the article that was in the Floyd Press for more detail.
