Bean Brain

I'm sorry I have better things to do than to try to find the man's head among a random pattern of coffee beans. No, come to think about it, I don't have anything better to do. Except maybe.. drink coffee. I give up. My right brain has left the building. How 'bout you? If you see it, draw me a picture. BeatnikSalad ~ link via Incoming Signals

UPDATE: Duh! I thought this was going to be a pattern among the beans forming a head in one of those 'stare past the picture' mosaic things. But no. That's all I'll say, and I want a rematch with better instructions! -- FF

No, we have pickled right brains it seems. It took me more than 3 minutes to find it. Look at the beans down the bottom of the picture.

Well, Fred, at first I thought it was a joke because the first thing that I saw was the head of Mickey Mouse (no kidding!) It wasn't until I glanced down to re-read the text to be sure that I was looking for a man's head that I caught the man's head out of the corner of my eye. I guess I'll cop to the 1-minute version; but, that doesn't mean that my right brain isn't fried!

Mickey Mouse? I'm no genius, but I did find the man's head in 10 seconds. Of course if you hadn't given me a clue in your update, I probably would have looked at it all day!

Found it in about one minute. Seems like a left-brain test more than a right brain test since it favors a literal interpretation of "find the man's head."

Found it almost instantly. Yet I've never been considered a right-brainer. Because I edit online, I'm using an extremely good monitor -- surely that makes a difference? Seems to me this test is even more meaningless than we all thought, unless everyone looks at it on the same monitor, or at the same print in the same light.

i found it too really quickly. but it scared me because i wasn't expecting to see a head in a pile of coffee beans.

I agree with Bud. Creepy looking!

I can think of better uses for coffee beans!

I saw it immediately too and I was expecting a pointillist Stereogram or Rorschach image...not a "Where's Waldo".

I am the world's worse proof-reader too. Since the head/face was right in the "sweet spot" of my field of vision when the page was prolly more a function of the placement and height of my monitor than my brain. *G*

So what does it say about you if it takes 3 minutes to find the link on the page?

Posted by: punctilious at September 3, 2003 07:53 PM

Let's see, with all of those fast folks and all of us slow pokes, if one puts us all together we might have brain enough to come in out of the rain. (Come to think of it, maybe not!) That was fun, Fred; but some of us aren't smart enough to remember which side of the brain does what so it's all immaterial. Now, when the big hand is on...

it took me to find the head like five minutes, kind of diifficult, i think the directions are not very clear.
it was fun.
i feel like a stupid
