In Praise of Feminine Priorities

As I moved the last of the things from the front room, piling it all on the dining room table and floor, and any place else it could be stashed in preparation for new carpet later today, Ann issued her last commandment in her sternest tone:

"Be sure and make the bed. We don't want the carpetman to think we live like pigs."

I submit Exhibit A.

Need I say more?

Ah..yes, the made bed...a gold standard in good housekeeping. You can just hear the conversation as Carpetman returns home.

Mrs. Carpetman: "Hello Dear, how was your day?"

Carpetman responds: "Pretty good, we finished the First job today. Man-o-man, you should see that house. The bed wasn't made. I tell you Mabel, they live like pigs."

Don't fight it Fred, bed making is next to seat puttin-down...just do it. Cuz as they say

"If Momma ain't happy, nobody's happy".

How cool to see inside your house again! Now I'm getting nostalgic for my room with a view there...
