Where in the World | Dakota, May 2007

Mabry hiking banjo fiddler guitar bluegrass quilt winery photography blacksburg writers Floyd
There's too much cooking this morning to trickle out the Dakota images one at a time. While I don't expect many (especially on a Friday) to take the time to click through 13 images in the gallery, you might want to see the first 4 or 5 of the Badlands.

Serving Suggestion: Here's the first image in "large" format. Scroll down if your monitor doesn't show the caption. Then hit the RIGHT ARROW key to move to the next image.

WOW...... these are gorgeous images, mountains, gorges and canyons as far as the eye can see, and skies without limit.

Very nice gallery. The indoor pics were really exposed well knowing how hard that is to do. The scenery is impressive but that heavy coat on Abby in May impressed me also.

I love badlands too, but have only shot them in Arizona/New Mexico. As always, I'm impressed.

Just beautiful - another part of the country to put on my "must visit" list.

You definitely captured the essence of the badlands, perhaps more notecards are in the future?

And aren't grandkids great? Too bad yours lives so far away, but what better reason for a road trip or vacation!
